Just wanted to say that this is the best GTK2 theme ever made for my personal taste. It doesn't copy Windows or MacOS, it has its unique look and the quality is very high. Please keep it up! I'm on XFCE4, so still able to use it with GTK2 and Emerald. But I would love to see a GTK3 port some day.

Is there any possibility that you will update this to GTK 3.x? I really like this theme but I can't use it because it's outdated.

I've started a Gnome-Shell theme based on this. http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=149831

Also for any beginners out there, there's a very good set of tutorials on youtube. You might find it helpful. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/wethepenguins01

Depending on where the rest of the DE's end up by the 12.04 release of Ubuntu, I may end up running XFCE again and this theme looks really nice.

My close, minimize, maximize GUI are not working, and the theme is not looking good at all.

Hi, I've installed this theme, but I only use the Compiz (window decorator) one. The color of it is a brown-like color and I will have it in black. How can I do that ? Thanks

Hello there, Can you please tell me what is the un-installation process. I like this theme a lot but just in case. Thanks

nutellajunkie

sure this is beautiful looking. but its hellishly unfriendly! WHERE IS THE UNINSTALL?!?!? Its F'd everything else up! I cant change themes properly now!

jurialmunkey

Can I ask what distribution you are on and what method you used to install the theme.

nutellajunkie

kindly make an un-install script :)

jurialmunkey

All the install script does is copy the theme to your ~/.themes/ directory, create a launcher for the customisation tool, and, if you chose the option to theme root themes, creates a symbolic link between your /root/.themes directory and ~/.themes directory. So I don't really see how anything could have been messed up unless you did something strange or there is a weird quirk related to the distribution that you are on - I've only tested it on Ubuntu so its possible that there is something weird going on with a different distribution. You can try removing the /root/.themes /root/.icons and /root/.fonts links: In a terminal: sudo rm /root/.themes sudo rm /root/.icons sudo rm /root/.fonts To remove the theme (terminal): rm -R -f ~/.themes/A-New-Hope* To remove the launcher: sudo rm /usr/share/applications/anewhope.desktop

An uninstaller for a theme???? LOOOL!!! :D :D that's ubuntu style.. :( one day somebody will find that it could be useful to have a script for launching the script!!!

Tipiaf

Too bad it's not for the original gnome, I cant use it :(

First thanks for the share it just worked ok. But i wanna know that how did you chage the place of the wiev of the window form left to right. i mean the picture you uploaded seems that the controls are at the right side with the (spacer menu close etc and ) controls and the border color too.

jurialmunkey

You need Emerald, themes for Emerald are included in the .zip

Aqua3
