Anyone go the scale window arrows working? Seems like everything but those work fine... I installed the theme by extracting it and placing it in the ~.icons folder. Could this be the wrong way to install it? Help is appreciated.
I like this theme, but there is NO WAY to run that damn make.sh thing. I can't double click on it, and there is no command to make it happen. make.sh, ./make.sh, sudo ./make.sh, NOTHING. Sure, I can just copy the folder, but then I'm missing half the goddamn cursors (such as EVERY one for resizing a window). Great. Nice. Way to make things more complicated than a simple "put the folder in there" that every other cursor set managed to figure out. Voted "bad" just for dumb-as-shit installation method.
sh ./make.sh Only three characters off. You could have, at the least, tried looking up how to execute .sh files.
I like them but they only half work. it's missing: -bottom left and right resizing corners -waiting in firefox -and maybe some others
I tried alot of the solutions mentioned on alot of other sites including ubuntu forums and I still cannot apply this. Any quick and dirty way to fix this the furthest I have gotten was to get it to breifly show up in firefox and firefox alone and once I minimized it went back to the white default one. Then after that when I logged out and logged back in it was the default one again even on FF. I tried usr/share/icons and all variants even /usr/share/cursors and .icons and .cursors under my home dir and no luck. and no luck using the cursor selector eaither. I am stuck with one the default black ones for now.
Your icons are great but they look horrid on dark setups. The borders are poorly defined and it is very notorious when you point them over dark backgrounds, i.e. text cursor... I hope to be useful for you, good luck.
Job Done. I have installed the cursor not via KDE tool but copying the folder into the directory /usr/share/icons and all woks fine!
I have a little problem: sometimes the cursor become a white little hand, like when I click the web-link on konqueror or I click on the desktop icon of KDE... I think that the white hand is the default system cursor and not the entis one... I think that the entis one is the pencil, but it doesn't work... some ideas?
You may want to use modified version of this cursors (some more cursors, better make script, etc.) made by Radek Dominiak - see http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Entis+Modified?content=62297 PS: I have seen some rpm's for suse on google, so try to look there. Enjoy.
hi folks i would like to use this cursor as it loox awesome!!!! but i don´t know how.... using suse since 4 days hth greetz
I ran make.sh file. Nothing happened. I have folders in .icons folder. I go to the Mouse and it doesn't show up as an option. How am I installing it wrong?
I have found out the problem is the cursor folder. The problem I had was trying to install the mini version. This is a great theme and would love to use the mini cursor. Thanks!
Thank you guys for your ideas, I will think about them and as soon as it will be possible (I don't have enough time), I will try to make some of them.
especially the small verision (though i run 100dpi the big ones feel too heavy) maybe lighter shadows would be nice...?!
Another thing i noticed, when i use Entis Mini Cursors and move the mouse to the bottom left or right corner of a windows i see the "standard xserver" handle instead of your theme.
Great theme i really love it. There's just one thing missing. A decent cursor, when you run xkill. Other themes have a nice skull an bones icon. When i run Entis Cursors i see only the "ugly" basic theme of the xserver. Thanks Christoph
Thanks for sharing the sources and make stuff, it will help other people learn about cursor making.
Excellent theme, please provide size selection if possible, this looks slight bigger on my screen. Thanks.
Now this is perfect.. I simply love entis mini.. thanks a lot
Nice theme, but the cursors are a little fuzzy around the edges. I'm running a resolution of 1280x1024x24 and the borders are not sharp and crispy but washed out and, well, fuzzy. The tilt of the cursors is on purpose, I assume.
Excellent cursor theme, fits well with my dark desktop, thanks a lot!
Thank you guys, I'm happy you like it. I must admit, that I've been using Contrast Cursors for months, so the basic idea comes from them (it seems, that they have disappeared from Internet, but maybe you can find them still here: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=467670) Also thank you for posting that bug, will try to investigate (asap).
You should maybe make different pointer sizes, so the user can choose :) It feels a little big on my screen (1024x768) but the theme rocks! Keep up the good work! :)
Well, it's not too hard, so I will think about that. But the most of users have 1024x768 or more, so I think it's not a big problem. By the way, are you experiencing the same problem as mentioned above (problem with left_ptr_watch)? I'm a native windows users, so it's quite a big problem for me to test this thing.
If you mean the pointer with the circle under while loading something? Then yes, but for me it only happens while I connect to a website in firefox and waiting the website to load. But when it comes to open my home directory it shows the entis theme. But thats the only bug I have noticed so far. I am using ubuntu with gnome + beryl, if it is any help :)
