A very very overglossed theme I made....
I was unsure if I wanted to release it but
I remembered some people liking my other
themes...... Whatever , go here to fix
any browser font problems (for most browsers):
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Darkfix+%28+easy+fix+for+browsers+%29?content=74504
it works like a charm and is very easy to use!
Big thanks to code933k for making it!
package contains gtk and metacity themes
(controls and window borders)
oh, and you can tweak the colors using
gnome theme manager.
!!!!IMPORTANT!!!!!
To install:
1.Download the file to your desktop
2.Right click the file and select extract here
3.open a terminal and run this command:
sudo cp -r $HOME/Desktop/Overglossed /usr/share/themes
4.Open the theme manager, you can now
see the Overglossed theme as a theme,
when you click on it , it suggests
taners amazing wallpaper he made for this theme!!
click apply to apply the wallpaper!
the icon theme it suggests is this one:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/black-white+2+Style?content=72619
any problems with the install let me know!!!!
Any suggestions and feedback very welcome!
for the metacity code I used the codebase
of scaled black murrina made by twigsby.
everything else made by me from scratch.
HUGE thanks to artist taner for is exceptionally
beautiful artwork wallpaper!!!!
0.2 Changed the menubar highlight and re-made the menues (now we have overglassy menues to )
0.3 You can now have white input boxes
(as shown on screenshot 3) cause I changed
some color inheritance (combobox now has
different inhertitance and cursor in
box inherits text color).
0.4 Now comes as a theme, Included taners
amazing wallpaper he provided for this theme!!!
04.08.2008 Taner made a new wallpaper,
It is absolutely fantastic! Uploaded with
that one and changed screenshots.

Nautilus seems to ignore this theme, instead using what I selected for "GTK+". Is there any way to fix this?
hy, really nice theme, I'm new with linux, so could you please tell me what's the widget name on the right side (system info) and any iinstructions how to get the transparent effect like on the theme picture tnx in andvance
I really like this theme. Thanks.
hiii i am using gnome 3 and when i applied theme nothing changed any solution?????
Yeah it's a gnome2 theme, not a gnome3 theme :)
thanx for the theme
I really like the theme, however, the icons it suggests can no longer be found at the following location: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/black-white+2+Style?content=72619 Does anyone happen to know where I can find the 'black-white_2-Style' icons or ones that work well with this theme? Thanks for your hard work.

TheRob, I just want to commend you on your great artwork. This is the first theme I've used on Linux. I've been running Ubuntu for only about a month now and I have to say I found everything I needed quite easily. I'm having one problem though, I'm forced to activate my Emerald theme every time I log in using Alt-F2 and 'emerald --replace' Is there any way to force the emerald to run always from startup? Sometimes it goes away completely for what appears to be no reason and I have to run the code again. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit Desktop edition. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Awesome theme though. P.S. I've figured out how to get Audacious to show in Conky without compiling from source. Saved me a lot of work. You can use Audtool. I think I saw a lot of people asking that on your other comments page.
where is the download link?
Did I blow you up? You deserve it. All you.
Fantastic theme, thank you so much for sharing it! My only problem/question: I'm running it on Lubuntu Lucid with LXDE, so I'm only using the gtk-2.0 theme. I was trying to modify the color scheme by editing the gtkrc file. All is working except the tooltip colors: they stay the same no matter of what HEX-code I'm using for them in the gtkrc file. I suspect it's about some color inheritance, but I'm stuck right now. Any suggestions? Where should I change the colorcodes in order to accomplish this? (Before you ask: I can't change colors in the theme manager as I don't have the latest LXAppearance2 installed which lets you change colors via GUI.) Any help is greatly appreciated!
That I am, I did what you said but after I type that code into Terminal, it asks me for my password. I dont have a password. Halp pl0x?
Great work on the theme, One thing though, i search in the comments and found nothing. How can i get my menus transparent? Thanks for the theme
It's absolutely beautiful. I did notice my menus aren't transparent and don't have the glow. Any help would be great as I'm a noob. I started using Linux literally yesterday.
Never mind. I had given up on compiz only to find out today that I had typed Menus instead of Menu. Again, great work.
also is there a way to make all the blue red? i tried in the gnome appearance but nothing i changed affected the scroll bars and stuff
nvm i figured it out
hi im fairly new to linux and i noticed in your screen shots on the top panel you have what looks like media player navigation buttons play pause .ect i was wondering what that was and how i get it. any help would be greatly appreciated ty for your time.
Right now this is my favorite gtk theme. Woks great with Smarald Emerald theme as my window decoration. Here's my screenshots: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v139/Apache.ServeFTP/Apache%20Aztec/Screenshot-4s.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v139/Apache.ServeFTP/Apache%20Aztec/Screenshot-3s.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v139/Apache.ServeFTP/Apache%20Aztec/Screenshot-6s.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v139/Apache.ServeFTP/New%20Home%20San%20Diego/IMG_3706b.jpg
Very nice work! I can't seem to get the folder icons to be replaced. I tried re-installing but the folders icons are not changing. I tried changing theme and retuning to this theme but no luck :( I noticed that the icons are locked in the icons folder itself. See link for image, I am assuming this has something to do with it. http://home.att.net/~freeinfo/folders.png Any suggestions?
Hy, I have a small problem with the transparency, how can I increase it ? Plus how can I put the widget on the right ;)). ps: using ubuntu 9.10 ;)
add conky. sudo apt-get install conky gedit /home/{your user name}/.conkyrc copy the following script and save. To run hit Alt-F2 and type conky. The script is very "bare bone" but should get you going quickly! You can read up on Ubuntu forums for more info. hope this helps! I installed the theme, but mine looks like a slightly crappier version, it doesn't have the widgets on the right, or the cool looking effects. What did i do wrong
I must say that this theme rocks. The glossyness and the icons really go together. By the way, what's the name of the font you're using?
