I've changed the gtkrc cos i wanted a lighter design for the menus. Posted it here if you're interested. I'm working up to a full on creation but this as well as another theme have been a good base for me to start with. Cheers!!

I have voted as good, but just for the xfcewm4 Theme, not for the GTK scheme, which generally (haven't tried this one) don't work well with openoffice and firefox.
I've been looking for a dark theme but there is too often no contrast between the text and the backgrounds. Shades of grey are indistinguishable even with pixel hinting.
You've judged this one well!
Thanks for doing an xfce version.
