It's been awhile now that I'm away from Gnome desktop and I'd like to know how these themes still fare in comparison with new Gnome eyecandy?
Anyone still uses them?
How wel do they work on your distributions?
Thanks.
Divna tema, gotovo prva na koju sam naleteo, kada sam instalirao Linux, i prva ljubav zaborava nema, do dan danas je ostala na desktopu, iako sam pretresao gotovo ceo sajt. Odmereno, prefinjeno, estetski cisto.
Jos jednom, sve cestitke, i pozdrav iz Beograda.
hey,
How can I download and install this on my ubuntu Gutsy (7.10)? I want to give my ubuntu a macish look. so how do I download it? And most of all install it?
I suggest starting at http://www.ubuntu.com. Choose the option dowonload, architecture you need and mirror server phisically close to you. If you're not experienced user, it's better to use livecd version, than alternate, because you may see the system in action before you install it. Please, notice, that livecd is significantly slower than installed system. After you run livecd just click the "install" icon and follow the instructions given by installator.
Good luck,
Hope you'll enjoy you're new system.
Hello!
I've successfully installed compiz-quinncvs_060724-7.1.i586.rpm,
gcompizthemer-0.12-1.1.i586.rpm,
xgl-cvs_060714-8.1.i586.rpm on my SuSE 10.1, but whatever I do, the border buttons do not change, regardless the imported theme. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Unfortunatelly you'll have to upgrade to at least 0.18 (I think) to get this latest version to work. I can send you older release if you cannot upgrade.
Just let me know.
You don't need gdesklets, just plain gnome-panel. Here, try this:
Go to top gnome panel -> right click -> new panel. Go to newly created panel -> right click > propertes.
Choose orientation bottom then: turn off expand, turn on autohide, turn on "show hide buttons", turn off "arrows on hide buttons", ste size 48. Go to background tab choose solid color and tweak transparency to your liking.
Now this is important: on yor newly crated panel put the following applets:
- any launchers you prefer or use frequently
- desktop swithcer applet
- trash launcher
- desktop button
Of course, use OSX icons.
Hope it helps.

I love the icons you have in your kicker. Did you get the office icons from this site? If not could you tell me where you found them? Thanks!
They are plain old OSX icons available here on gnomelook. Here: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=31618
The standard compiz window decoration is fugly. You're a god. Have my babies.
