I'd suggest a little more spacing between the buttons. You might find some guidance with the Apple Human Interface Guidelines. A Google on "Apple HIG" should get you onto their site somewhere with details on how many pixels to space certain elements.

any chance you could create a gtk/metacity "mac black?" Or does anyone know of something like this that does not require emerald/beryl?

how can i enable this emerald theme? i've imported the theme in the beryl emerald theme manager and nuthin happends!
right-click the beryl-manager icon, select "emerald theme manager", then scroll down and select "Mac BlackTru". hope that helps!

hey thanks for the suggestion. i increased the spacing between the buttons to about 3 pixels.
