Description: Here's a new emerald theme. I've seen quite a few wooden themes that look like they came straight out of the scrap pile at the lumber yard. I thought I could do better. You be the judge.Last changelog:
It is smooth and warm...different all the same.
I dunno if I will use it but i personally like it and voted good. :) Just a question: what gtk is that in the preview?
Thanks for the comment and the vote. To be honest, it's not really something that I plan on using. I made it because I was feeling bored and creative and released it because I thought others would like it. The style I'm using in the screenshots is Skulpture on KDE 4.
I'm sorry I was so vague. All icon themes have an index.theme or index.desktop file. It's just a text file that tells the desktop environment basic information about the theme. There is a line in this file that starts with "Inherits=", that tells the DE what icon theme to pull icons that are missing from. On Gnome, it's typically "Inherits=Tango, gnome" and "Inherits=Oxygen, hicolor" on KDE. This way you can create an icon theme that only has a few icons in it and still have icons for everything. But anyway, I've uploaded a version that should, in theory, work for Gnome. Give it a shot. :)

I have been waiting for something like this for a while, and I agree about most wooden themes.
Someone needs to make a really nice one, with the thought you have put into this.
I'm glad you like it. I've uploaded my icons. They're packaged for KDE 4 but you can install on Gnome by untarring it to ~/.icons and changing the inherits line in the index.theme file.

Thks a lot! But I'm just starting with gnu/linux ( ubuntu )! What do you mean by 'changing the inherits'!

I like very much your work! I'm using it since this morning! I'm also interesting in your icon's theme! You should release it!

Great theme, but the dock in the screen is AWN or a kde4 native dock?
Thanks. The dock is Cairo Dock. I like it better than AWN. It seems to be much more configurable.
nice theme dude. what icon set are you using?
Thanks. The icons are just oxygen with a few custom icons that I made. I could share them if you're interested.
