I wonder if you have the same problem as me: The shade at the right and left side of the windows is not reaching all to the bottom. it's only a little more than 2/3 of the side. It's not with other themes, so it's not a beryl issue, but has to so something with the theme. I can send you a screenshot, if you want to.
i have this same problem. I am running compiz-fusion. If you mess with the shadow settings in the emerald theme config you can improve the shadow's look to some extent. i think the alpha channel, which allows for the rounded borders on the titlebar, is affecting the shadowing algorithm.
I can't seem to get the scrollbars to look like osx/aqua. Do you have any ideas?
Hi, This is not cotrolled by emerald theme but by gtk2 theme t-ish pack. Problem is probably solved by this: ---- You'll need to have gtk2-engines, gtk2-engines-clearlooks and gtk2-engines-ubunutulooks. Easiest way to do this is: sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines gtk2-engines-clearlooks gtk2-engines-ubuntulooks That should work. ----- if this doesn't help just look at the comments section under the T-ish Pack gtk2 theme.
how can i get emerald on ubuntu 6.10? i mean its not the same theme manager as gnome uses by default... how can i get it? thanks :)
Beryl and emerald are usually available at http://www.beryl-project.org together with howto install. However, there seems to be some hard drive failure at beryl site and you should wait a while.
I registered just to put my thanks here. Been waiting for this ever since I installed Edgy! A fantastic Mac looking addition to anyone's desktop. Great work as ever from tmilovan. :-)
Thank you, It had always bothered me that I cannot make zero pixels borders with rounded edges. This had finally became possible with pixmap engines for emerald and compizthemer. I'm glad your are happy with it.
