Description: CurveDomina-Respin is a derivative of the original CurveDomina QtCurve theme by Antonio Orefice (url: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/CurveDomina+Qtcurve?content=126954). By Antonio's own description, CurveDomina is “an attempt to make qtcurve look like the good old domino style, unavailable for kde4.”
With this “respin” version, I am less interested in mimicking the original Domino theme and have instead tried to modify the theme to suit these goals:
- Look good in all Qt/GTK+ applications, including pseudo-GTK programs such as Firefox, Thunderbird and OpenOffice.org.
- Try to be the best-looking QtCurve theme available
CurveDomina-Respin's appearance is powered by QtCurve, which means that both Qt (KDE) and GTK+ (GNOME) applications will share the same style and color scheme.
There are two versions of the theme included: one with standard dark window shadows and one with a blue glow around the active window.
Requires 1. QtCurve for KDE4 version 1.8.5 or later and Qtcurve for GTK2 version 1.8.6 or later. Installation instructions are included in the download.Last changelog:
1.0 - First version.
Changes from Original CurveDomina Theme - Disabled "force alternate colors" for rows in list boxes because it messes up the colors in Thunderbird. - Titlebar gradient now extends through the menubar as well, improving the appearance of non-native GTK applications such as Firefox and Thunderbird. - Lightened the background curve image to make it less distracting. - New progressbars and troughs for progressbars and scrollbars. - Added faint stripes to the scrollbars. - Almost all gradients have been adjusted, and some new ones created. - Countless other small tweaks.
Just awesome!
I have missed the Domination style and I have loved the QtCurve style configration possibilities and this one really is great!
Kudos for you by making KDE SC look great after great Oxygen style!
You managed to get still a nice copy of already unique Domination KDE style to KDE SC 4.6 to be something different than what most copy-cats tries to do always copying other desktop environments!
yeah... FYI you can play amiga music transparently with uadefs on nix.
Or head to http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Special:Modland
there's a experimental on the fly conversion of mods to streams.
Several years ago I went through over 20,000 tracker music songs, weeded it down to my favorite 600 or so and digitally remastered them all with a tasteful level of reverb fx processing. I still need to find a way to make this collection available to others.
How did you managed to:
"- Titlebar gradient now extends through the menubar as well"
If i remember correctly i've had trouble to do it using background gradient+bagkground image.

Looks quite nice. > Try to be the best-looking QtCurve theme available :) This seems to be a success ;)

I had trouble too, initially, so I sent a bug report to Craig Drummond (the QtCurve developer) and he fixed it in the latest version.
Mmh, got it working right now, thanks. Did you used a "persona" for firefox? here the gradient doesn't spread across the menubar. (firefox 4.0b11)
Yep, it is an issue with 4.0b version, 3.x looks good.
