Description: This is the Burning Machine k3b theme, originally made by meNGele, but adapted for new theming guidelines of the k3b 0.12.x release. No new artwork or anything, I just renamed existing files according to new guidelines, and made my favourite theme available for others, that's all .
Greetz to meNGele, your kung fu style is the best!Last changelog:
Updated in order to conform to the newest K3b releases.
I don't know where it comes from but the names of the bitmaps are totally wrong. When I installed this K3D theme, I just got no theme anymore. I compared your theme with the ones that came with my K3B and I realised that the names of the bitmaps didn't match and that 2 images were missing.
The K3B I use is 0.11.15cvs (KDE 3.4.2 on SuSE 9.2)
Any way, I easily managed to re-build a working theme. If you want it or more info, just ask.
Well, you obviously hadn't read the info: this theme is built for 0.12.x series, which has better themeing support, but different names for included pics. So, this is NOT for 0.11.x, but 0.12.x series, with which, of course, it operates correctly... Search kde-look in order to find original meNGele's work for 0.11.x ...
I didn't read the fine prints at the bottom of the contract, obviously.
I also thought I had the uttermost last version of K3B... and that you make your theme for a previous version of K3B. It's just the other way around.
Any way, I manage to make it work for my version of K3B so... No problemo!
That is pretty neat. 2 questions:
How would I go about adding this?
And secondly, what window dec. are you using? An IceWM theme perhaps?
Cheers, and nice work
Pascal Klein
Thanks for your kind words, but as I said I had just reworked the existing theme by meNGele, so all kudos actually go on his part ;). And to answer your questions - in the first one, you meant how to install the theme, right? Fire up k3b, go to settings - themes, and press install new theme. Choose the archive, it should appear in the list, select it, and press apply ;). The windec I'm using - well, I don't use kwin as my window manager under KDE, but amazing enlightenment with the 23ozglass theme... hope I helped.
