- A bit slow when updating. - Currently, the plugin takes a player's full name. That means that the plugin will not work for players who share names with other players in the MLB.
The screenlet shows Chipper Jones is batting over .400. This is correct behavior. Have fun, Mets fans.
Always awesome to see MLB things!
One thing I would absolutely LOVE to see is a screenlet frontend to mlbviewer. It would be so amazing to be able to navigate through live and archived games and watch live video feeds or play clips on the desktop. Best part is, mlbviewer's already in Python!

Fantastic. Thanks so much for doing this, it's great. How about an option to add custom stats? Again, very cool screenlet.

Unfortunately, I am not a paying mlb.tv customer, so I think it would be difficult to test while developing.
You don't need to be a paying subscriber to watch the "top plays" from past games. In fact, mlbviewer doesn't even try to login for those clips. Besides, MLB.tv is offering a free 5-day trial. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080602&content_id=2827524&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb If you're up to it, this would be a great app.
