Which icon theme and font were you using?
Icon theme: elementary dark mono (http://danrabbit.deviantart.com/art/elementary-Icons-65437279) Font: Droid Sans (http://www.droidfonts.com/, ttf-droid in Ubuntu, google-droid-fonts in Fedora).
Shit, forgot to use link tags: http://danrabbit.deviantart.com/art/elementary-Icons-65437279 http://www.droidfonts.com/
Thanks a bunch!
Oh, and what controls were you using? Sorry about this, I'm just trying to make it look a lot like the screenshot you provided.
No problem :-) I have taken Bluebird Gtk theme (http://github.com/shimmerproject/Bluebird/) and modified it to be more compact (reduced sizes of buttons, tabs etc.) You can download it from here: https://bitbucket.org/olegolegovich/bluebird-tweaked/downloads/BluebirdTweaked-0.1.zip
Thanks, again! And I +1 your theme. =]
You are welcome :-)
I think all pixmaps can be done using Metacity Engine only (I mean only pure gtk code); and it could look better :9 my suggestion :) Please see here: http://clearbox.sourceforge.net/
You are right, there are enough drawing ops built in metacity to allow these to be drawn natively. I'll probably try to implement the "native" icons and measure the performance difference.
I test it with "victory elementary" gtk theme and it was very cool. Simple and clean theme, i like it ! Generaly i don't like blue based theme and this is the exeption :)
This is the first blue theme I liked myself :-)
Excellent theme and great work.
Thanks :-)
Great work, thanks. How can I change panel font color?
Thank you :-) Panel font color: open file gtk-2.0/panel.rc from Bluebird gtk package in any text editor. There are several lines in it, which are setting the color of the font: fg[NORMAL] = ... fg[ACTIVE] = ... fg[PRELIGHT] = ... text[NORMAL] = ... text[PRELIGHT] = ... text[ACTIVE] = ... Replace the right part of that lines with the color you like (e.g. "#ff0000" for bright red). Please note, that you should not modify bg[...] lines, as these are responsible for background color. Also note, that text color is set in several places, you must replace it in all of them.
I can't get the entire bluebird tarball to transfer - only about 60% will come through whether using FF4, wget or aria2. Needed to do a git checkout to get it. Nice theme though.
Great work!
He-he, I learned about (and absolute loved) Bluebird theme and Shimmer project from your blog (webupd8.org) :-)
Nice art... where I can get your theme?
I've added installation tips on the page, feel free to ask for more detailed explanation :)
Sorry brother.. I have downloaded this theme, but archive can't extracted.. can you send me the current theme?
The link on the page is the latest version of theme. What steps exactly did you perform before the error?
I do the following step: 1. I download with default downloader firefox, the size is mismatch. so downloader stop downloading this file 2. Then I try downthemall to download, but still failed. 3. The last, I try using wget, but appear error certificate error. I have try to avoid check certificate, but after I finished downloading this file, archiver can't extract. or the master file corrupt at server?
Ok, try downloading from http://www.mediafire.com/?26y5ch7q9iwyqoq
