can someone please write a step-by-step guide installation? i'm new to ubuntu and I can't figure out how to use this menu icon. thank you.
Install Instructions: 1. Download (extract to desktop) 2. Make sure it is still compressed. (right click on your download select compress as tar.gz) 3. Right click on your gnomenu and select preferences. 4. Click install (does not matter which one) 5.your menu should be installed Just select it from with in preferences and reload if asked too. Note: These instructions will not work if you do not have GNOMENU installed on your system. Link (to how to install gnomenu):http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/HOW+TO+INSTALL+%22GNOMENU%22?content=108571
Thanx :)
Great work! Nice, sober and intuitive.
This is what I'm looking for, It's great.
you should use Awoken or Faenza icons
I'm going to consider it. Thanks
Haha, I actually modified mine to use AwOken Icons. It looks nice. Link: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=132501 Image to shows The Icon Menu 2 using the AwOken Icons. It is using the gtk them option hence the dark blue background.
Dude, this is an awesome piece of work you got here. It's so intuitive, it just feels RIGHT! Thank you for FINALLY ending my search for the perfect GNOmenu theme!
Thanks.
Thanks a lot man, it's working like a charm. It's people like who really make my life easy. Keep up the good work!!!
I dont know if there's something wrong I'm doing or not. Here is the message that I get when I follow the instructions you gave me: diamond@DELL-Latitude-D810:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnomenu-team/ppa Error reading https://launchpad.net/api/1.0/~gnomenu-team/+archive/ppa: <urlopen error [Errno 110] Connection timed out> What might be the problem, sorry I'm still on the learning curve.

This theme looks beautiful, I'm new to Linux and am not trying to take you back to the basics but will you please guide me on how to use/install this theme.
First you need to install GnoMenu 2.9 via PPA Copy following lines in a console -------- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnomenu-team/ppa sudo aptitude update sudo aptitude install gnomenu -------- Afert that, activate in the panel. And change the gnomenu propierties. And install the new menu.·C€C·C‘C·C
Very well designed Menu. The only suggestion I have is that you may want to switch the Trash and Search icons since Search is a function and Trash opens the trash folder. Just seems to make more sense that way.
I change the buttons, thanks.
