Description:
Here's a Gnome startup splash put together in blender 2.43 and Gimp2.2. No big deal, just a little render and a little script fu. The textures were freebies I harvested. I thought the stucco and the oil stained driveway were neat looking. Too bad my system boots so fast. I blink and miss the splash screen!

This isn't a splash for Grub, soz.

I appreciate the feedback. When you say the background could be better, what do you mean? I was shooting for a garage floor look, like someones eye popped out while working with power tools or something like that. I'm open to suggestions. thx again

Wowzers. Lot's of negative votes. What is wrong with it? Too dark? Off center? I'd like to post more of these, and it would help if I knew what to avoid and what to shoot for, without being too cliche and in line with all the top rated stuff. Thanks for any constructive critique.

I don't think you did a bad job with it but I do think the background could be a little better and I would have placed the ubuntu logo in the eye but keep trying XD
