Description:
Plymouth theme with Mint in mind. I take no credit for the coding, that goes to Erik Johnson's Seven Plymouth Theme 0.1. on KDE-Look.org.

This is a complete rework of my Lmint-1.1-alpha.

Hope you enjoy the theme.
Please let me know if you like this work. Score it! Thanks!

If anyone is having trouble with ugly Plymouth, check out this link it worked for me: http://news.softpedia.com/news/How-to-Fix-the-Big-and-Ugly-Plymouth-Logo-in-Ubuntu-10-04-140810.shtml

To install: Download the ZIP file. Extract the folder Lmint. In terminal cd to the folder you extracted the Lmint folder into.
TYPE IN TERMINAL (without the ""):

"sudo cp -R Lmint/ /lib/plymouth/themes/"
"sudo update-alternatives --install /lib/plymouth/themes/default.plymouth default.plymouth /lib/plymouth/themes/Lmint/Lmint.plymouth 100"
"sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth" #here, choose the number of the theme you want to use then hit enter
"sudo update-initramfs -u"

TO CHANGE BACKGROUND COLOR:
I have it on a deep purple background. If you wish to change the background to Black simply comment out (#) lines 4 and 5 of the Lmint.script. Or should you prefer a different background color simply replace these values "(0.16, 0.00, 0.12)" for whatever colors you prefer. The color values are in Hex.

thats it! These instructions are for Debian based distros.
Enjoy!

*I have added wallpaper/background image support to the script.

IF YOU WISH TO SET A BACKGROUND IMAGE(your desktop wallpaper for example) open the Lmint.script in gedit or your preferred text editor, comment out (#) lines 4-5 and uncomment (remove the #) the following lines(lines 7-29). Replace "background.png" on line 8 (with the quotes, with the name of the background image you wish to use(PNG format ONLY) or change your image name to "background.png" and place the image in this folder. **don't forget to run (without the quotes "sudo update-initramfs -u" to update the kernel ram-disk with your new background if you have previously installed the folder!) Go through the steps outlined above to install.
The 3rd screen-shot is with my desktop wallpaper as the background image.

*If you had previously installed the Lmint-1.1-Alpha, Lmint-2.1 will over-wright it.

Awesome work! Goes well with my new Mint 10 installation. Now all I need to do is settle on a background image. Thanks a bunch.
