Description:
Just a quick GRUB splash image I whipped up from one of the Jaunty backgrounds I stumbled upon (sorry, I REALLY wish I knew who did it) and the "Circle of Friends" part of the Ubuntu Logo.

Credit for the original images goes to the creators, bringing them together like this is credit myself

It's easiest to install this GRUB splash image using the "startup manager" package.

Please enjoy!


PS - Yes, that really is just a 14 color image and has been tested on my own system.

How to install a grub theme:

  1. Extract the theme to /boot/grub/themes/

  2. Edit /etc/default/grub file. Find the line starting with "#GRUB_THEME" and change it to "GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/[THEME_FOLDER]/[theme.txt]" (replace [THEME_FOLDER] ; [theme.txt] is probably OK ; remove "[]" brackets)

  3. Run sudo update-grub
