I really liked the background image behind Ubuntu 9.04's default login window, so I carefully converted it over to a 14 color GRUB splash screen.

This is the second version of this splash screen, I added a bit of a background for those who don't want to change the highlight color in grub, this version will let you see your selection highlight with GRUB's default text and highlight colors.

There was a lot of pixel by pixel work done in order to make this look as nice as possible! 14 colors is not a whole lot!
