Description:
What is Grub Fingerprint?
It is a splash screen you can use as background in Grub.
How to install?
On Ubuntu Lucid Lynx use:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:phylu/boot-fingerprint
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install grub2-fingerprint
On other distributions download the Source Package Version 0.1 unpack it, change to the directory and run
sudo ./install.sh Last changelog:

Hello, cant figure out how to install on Ubuntu 9.10. No menu.lst in /grub and can only add .so files startup-manager... (which doesn't work either)help? Thanks!
For Grub2: Save included picture like .png to /boot/grub/ sudo gedit /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme (change name of picture) sudo update-grub Or follow the instruction on http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-add-a-splash-image-to-grub-2-on-ubuntu-9.04
As with the new version there should be no problems with grub2 anymore. If there are some, though, please report it to me.
