Seems to me to suit more of a wallpaper than a splash screen considering it is 1024x768. Good work nevertheless, it's my current wallpaper.

This is a theme for Splashy, a bootsplash manager, not a Gnome splash. If you want to use it as wallpaper, do it ;)
