Description: My version of GIMP 2.6 Splash Screen. To install it, just download the file onto your desktop, then open a terminal windows and type this:
No when i use "nautilus" in the terminal the window opens but when i turn to an other directory, in mandriva, always a n ew nautlius window opens. so i dont have the root rights in the images directory...

Hi. This work for me in Ubuntu. First in terminal: sudo nautilus, then copy the image and look to usr/share/gimp/2.0/images and backup the original image and replace (and rename) this image to gimp_splash.png

The directory should be the same for all flavours of linux.

Ever tried ALT+F2 > gksu nautilus? This works for Ubuntu with GNOME Desktop..

Sorry.. I don't know, nevr used Mandriva. Maybe if you have a Gnome Desktop Environment the procedure is similar...
