Added a 78px margin to the top and bottom so that the gnome icons don't interfere with the splashes fade effect but instead go underneath the graphic.
Great look; I particularly like how you made the "GNOME" logo/font as 'damaged' as the background. It might be a good idea to make it a bit easier to read.
