I have used this plymouth several times on different systems. I shared it with one of my friend. he has been using it on some different hardware. but the issue is that the spinning object get displaced from its original place. I mean the logo is available in the center but the spinning object is not spinning around the logo, rather it is displaced on the left side and spins.
have anyone found the same issue and/or solution for the issue
to get slower spinning and faster progress bar:
open mdv.script and set
(line 23) anim.imagecount = 100;
(line 228) progress_bar.image = progress_bar.original_image.Scale(progress_bar.original_image.GetWidth(progress_bar.original_image)$

screenshot(looks like the preview has a small bug with placing animations) http://h-3.abload.de/img/snapshot57ejr.jpeg
Thanks for the really nice Plymouth theme! There is only one problem with it. Whenever there is a disk check it always shows "keys:" before the message. I haven't tried seeing it with other messages (eg. "Remove the disc and press Enter" on the Live CD) but I believe there would be a similar problem with it. It's kind of unnecessary and makes the theme look not so good whenever a message is displayed during boot up. The default Ubuntu Plymouth theme takes care of this nicely. Maybe you can take a look at the Ubuntu Plymouth code to help you.
Thanks again for the theme!
Best regards,
AZorin
It changes from the default bootscreen that didn't bother me elsewhere .. i've just changed the anim.imagecount in the mdv.script ( 45 from 32 ) but not tested yet!
But is there something i can do with the progress bar that is too slow?

So, nothing can be done for the progress bar?
I know, how can the speed of the progress bar be changed? It's so slow.
I like it and your the first that I've seen create a new splash for Plymouth so you get voted up.
Thanks and enjoy it...

I've done anything in the readme file but after reboot I see a black screen and then GDM starts! Ubuntu 10.04 Intel Graphic 1280*800 Resolution
The problem may be caused by plymounth and your video driver ... I recommend google search documentation
Go to: http://laventanamuerta.net/como-corregir-el-tiempo-del-logo-de-inicio-de-ubuntu/
After i installed the burg, i dont see the splash screen anymore... that's sad!
update the initramfs with the console # sudo update-initramfs -u and restart.
this is grade A+ looking! That is how things should look. Hope to see this included in the next release. Could you make one with 10.04 though please?
Thank you for your comment ... Ubuntu 10.4 version is available for download
very cool animation, i hope this will be include in the next ubuntu
The ring is too fast and the progress bar too slow... How do I modify them in the mdv.script file?
For the "ring animation" modify "anim.imagecount" item in the mdv.script file.
Thanks! :)
