I simply updated this http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/pidgin+glossy+theme?content=64754 to work with the new pidgin so you dont have to drop the icons in /usr/share/pixmaps

to install extract and drop the "Glossy" folder to ~/.purple/themes

Id recommend these icons for KDE users i use ubuntu and kubuntu netbook remix so i use these in KDE
Last changelog:

1.0 packaged icons and uploaded pidgin theme

1.1 made "chat.png" icon larger for preview in pidgin preferences
