Description:
Just recoloured the original Faenza folders (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Faenza?content=128143).

You must have the above icon theme installed, as this theme only replaces the original folders.

If you prefer the Faenza-Dark version, you can edit the index.theme file and replace the third line with the following:
Inherits=Faenza-Dark,Humanity,Tango,gnome

All credits go to tiheum (http://gnome-look.org/usermanager/search.php?username=tiheum). Thanks for the beautiful icon set!

Updated screenshot (nautilus 3.2.0):
gtk theme: Zukitwo-Resonance
metacity theme: Elementary
background: iOS-RainDrops-Wallpaper (http://www.applejünger.de/html/downloadseite/)
font: Ubuntu
Last changelog:

I wanna leave the icons the way they are and just get the blue folders, is it possible to do?

frankzen

Love your work - didn't realize Cupertino had to be installed separately so I got a bit of a shock when at first it didn't seem to be working. Thanks for all the hard work!

I'd like to use this to replace the original Faenza icons, but I don't know to use it on Ubuntu 11.10. If I run the "index-theme" in the terminal, there are something like errors such as: ./index.theme: line 1: [Icon: command not found ./index.theme: line 5: theme: command not found ./index.theme: line 8: [actions/16]: No such file or directory ./index.theme: line 13: [animations/16]: No such file or directory ...... so, what should I do?

xujchen

I find it. Thank you for the beautiful icons!

Great Faenza-Mod, love it! :) One question: Which version of Nautilus do you use in the upper screenshot? It looks like 3.0.x, but unlike mine (3.0.2), it has a separate 'Devices'-Section.

john007

Well, in fact it is Nautilus 3.0.2 in fedora 15... No idea why you don't have a separate "Devices" section...

Thanks for sharing you beautiful icon-theme! I love this!

john007

Welcome. Thanks for your kind comment...

There won't be a dark variant anymore?

john007

There never was, as this icon set only replaces the folder icons. However, I added a solution to your problem to the description above...

KaoDome

Oh! Sorry about the message, I am using Archlinux' package which provided the necessary for the dark variants and I thought it was the original source which provided it. The recent update of the package didn't have the dark settings right and dark variants didn't appear, I never thought it could be due to the package itself. Anyway, it was updated and is fixed :). Thank you very much for the reply and for everything you did for this package, it's greatly appreciated.

Awesome icons, all except the Ubuntu icon in the top left, and I don't run ubuntu. Any way you could add support for some of the major distros like Debian?

john007

That icon comes with the original faenza icon set. Try installing the faenza icon set that comes with your distro - it may have been adjusted there... Alternatively you can change that icon yourself by replacing the "distributor-logo" icon in the "places" folder.

john007

PS: Just checked the fodora package of the faenza icon theme: that package, for example, already uses the fedora icon instead of the ubuntu one...

Faenza are so great on Lubuntu, thank you very much!

john007

Thanks. Still using them myself... ;-)

I like this set, but somehow I couldn't manage to install it on debian squeeze. I had no such problem with lenny.

Hi. You changed the original folder colours to that blue. How do you do it? I'd like to change them to Shike-Green... Thanks. Sory my bad english.

john007

No idea what the problem is. Hope you got it sorted...

Great icon theme! What's this Metacity theme? Or is it Compiz? Thanks for the awesome work!

john007

An Icon Theme should have a valid .theme file among its files and aim to be complete for desktop use under Gnome or KDE Plasma.

If it contains only a single icon or a small set of icons, please use the Icon Sub-Sets or Single Icon/Logo categories instead.
