In Firefox (GTk3 as of version 46) the scrollbar doesn't stay highlighted when you move it (I'm on Xubuntu 16.04 with the GTK 3.18 version of Candra), is this something that's fixable? If so, how?
It would be awesome if this theme got updated, it's my fav dark theme over on XFCE
Hey, I plan on updating it soon. Currently I am finishing my Cloak-Theme(you should check it out). It wont be much longer for the update its just that I have to do a full rewrite, Gtk updates suck! Cheers!
No worries, there's no rush. Cloak isn't my style of theme (although I do like it), I prefer Candra but I appreciate the effort you put into all your styles! In my opinion, Candra is the best dark theme that's compatible with XFCE so please keep up the awesome work!
I'm glad to hear you like it so well with Xfce4! You will be glad to hear that I am currently working on Candra, I have the light and medium gtk3 themes ready, I still need to do the dark theme and the gtk2 versions. Gimme a little more time, I should be able to knock it out within the week. Cheers!
Thank you for your effort with the theme, I love it but I can't get the darkest one shown in the screenshot on XFCE. It's not included in the folder. It just contains the white and the grey one.
Nice theme, thanks a lot. But is it possible to reduce the trancparency of the shell theme? the top panel is too transparent for me. It would be nice of you can tell me, how I can make the top bar (panel) untransparent.
Open the gnome-shell folder and open the gnome-shell.css in text editor. find '#panel' change 'background-color:' to whatever you would like and remove the line 'border-image: url("panel/panel.svg") 1 1 1 1;'. The '#panel .panel-button:hover' and '#panel .panel-button:active' may both need to be changed in the same way. Good Luck. Cheers!
Thanks for your reply. i tried your suggestions but then I got the original theme for the panel and this. But the theme mix is not so beautiful. I will play with some values in the files and perhaps I find a solution.
I've noticed a bug when started a dark themed application like gnome-video. I did some research and I discovered that your theme does not contain the new gnome-shell css names. They changed the reference css names to: gtk-contained.css gtk-contained-dark.css Thanks for the nice theme!! Edwin
What is the error that you found? I can't fix it without this information. And the theme contains the gtk-contained.css and gtk-contained-dark.css. They are made into a binary for so the theme stays loaded in memory loads faster and cleaner. Thanks, Josh
is inside the files located in /caedra-theme/gtk-3.0/gtk.css and /caedra-theme/gtk-3.0/gtk-dark.css just changing the line in gtk-css from: @import url("resource:///org/gnome/candra-theme/gtk-main.css"); to: @import url("resource:///org/gnome/candra-theme/gtk-contained.css"); and in gtk-dark.css from: @import url("resource:///org/gnome/candra-theme/gtk-dark-main.css"); to: @import url("resource:///org/gnome/candra-theme/gtk-contained-dark.css"); will fix the problem. (gnome 3.16.2)
thanks for building this look, first Gnome-Shell theme actually working for Linux Mint 17.1
I'm Glad it works for you and that you like it. Cheers!
The gtk.css file points to resource:///org/gnome/candra-theme/gtk-main.css but where is the actual file located because I want to do some editing to the theme.
its in the gresource binary. its not meant to be changed. If you google you may find a way to open the gresource file so that you can make changes.
Would you like to upgrade to 3.18 ?
When Arch Linux upgrades to 3.18 I will also with this theme. Cheers!
3.18 is available now. Cheers!
Thank You..
Nice work.
Thank you very much! Cheers!
