Description: ~ A Elegant Dark Theme Dorian has many of its own unique characteristics. To name a couple, hovered buttons grow in size, and insensitive buttons/widgets have a diagonal pattern distinguishing them from normal or active states. Dorian's appearance is consistent between Gtk2 and Gtk3. Gtk2 uses the pixmap-engine to resemble Gtk3 as closely as possible.
Gtk 3.14 Theme *UBUNTU users: This works on Vivid 15.04. See download page for installation instructions.
I have used your themes sense gnome 3.6 and I love them. So beautiful and well put together. I am now on gnome 3.12 and I was so happy to see you had a theme for it already.
There is one small issue I would like to report to help you out: the dash/dock thing on gnome 3.12 is a little small, for some reason the icons come out farther than the dock itself, for your theme only though. I tried making the icons smaller (from 48 to 32) but the dock got smaller with them so still smaller than the icons. Other than that it is perfect! I do wish to see a google chrome theme but I can just set it to use the GTK theme and it looks fine.
Thank you for having such amazing themes for so long!
Oh wait, I take back the comment about the issue with the dock. I fixed it. I had the dash to dock extension and I had the theme setting in it. So I turned that off and not it fits perfectly.
This is the best of best dark-theme I have ever stumbled upon. Just brilliant! Thanks for your time and hard-work, mate. Please keep up the good work. Thanks again!
Window decoration still not working on my Unity desktop... Although, it still looks good with the generic decoration that comes instead, so it is kinda fine. But I would still prefer yours... Well, they did do a mass at Ubuntu, again, I guess.. :-D
I just checked both vers 3.10 & 3.12 in Trusty and the window manager theme worked(although I'm still not very happy with it). I wish I knew what to tell you.
Hi
I've used this theme for some time now in my manjaro openbox. Just wanted to thank you for the time and effort you put into this. It's highly appreciated. Dark Openbox themes with a matching gtk theme is hard to find so again....thank you very much :)
@everyone PEACE
Dorian theme is my favorite too. I prefer dark themes and this one seems to be the best combination of gray tones i know until now. Also - the checkboxes, the loading bars and the seeking bars are well corresponding to my perception for beauty. The separators in the menus also are a nice thing - they are improving the feeling for arrangement.
I use the Dorian theme together with default font - Liberation Sans (9) - and with the Fedoreando icon theme (blue folders) from the "Kalahari" / "Mate with Mint" icon pack.
I have been using this theme for the past few days now. In my opinion it is hard to find a good dark theme. This one is just awesome! I love it! Great work. Thank you!
Unfortunately neither 3.10 nor 3.12-beta is working properly (especially metacity component) under Ubuntu 14.04.
Also I would love to make this very elegant theme my Default theme if I could have a Lighter Variant with only window titlebars, menubars, toolbars, pathbars, tabbar, sidebars, etc. dark.
to its window manager theme. The previous xml(metacity-themes) files are worthless now. Unfortunatly I don't have the time currently to invest in Ubuntus latest move away from Gnome. I wouldn't count on window-manager themes for the 3.10 versions and Trusty. I will likely have it worked out by the time Ubunut bumbs to 3.12.
As for your color idea, It does sound good. A second version of Dorian may be cool.
Thanks and Cheers!
Hello again.
I took your advice about lightening the Bg color. I only lightened it 4 shades, but the slight variance looks really cool. I may look into something even lighter in the future.
Thanks again,
Cheers
I have tried many GTK themes, and this is one of the BEST! Great consistency throughout the theme. I was using Delorean Dark before this one, but this one looks better. GTK apps such as EVINCE and Transmission display this theme correctly. Dorian Theme also has support for different WMs such as XFCE and Openbox. I'm using it on Debian Jessie/Testing running Openbox and it works great! I use xsettingsd to set the GTK themes. Thanks for your great work, keep it up!
For me does not work once I use urw chancery l fonts and think it has something to do with the mods to nemo but not positive! Still I like your ideas and concepts
Awesome work on the 3.8 compatibilities. Anxious to see what is to come in the future updates, I'm sure there are a lot of small things to work out but this is an overall amazing addition to any collection, alas it belongs at the top of said list. //offtopic: why u no kill hello kitty yet :P

Thank you. I understand you fully about the changes. I welcome changes, but when they are too many and too fast, they can make life very difficult ;-)

Thanks for the hard work, this is a very good theme. Nice and dark, and looks cool. Works perfectly with Fedora 20 and Gnome 3.10.
