It's a nice theme but, unfortunately, for people like me, who use a lot of spreadsheets, it is useless because in an spreadsheet, the tabs are so small that you can't read any name on it. You can barely see them!!! I hope the author can solve the problem, because if you want to use elementary os, you'd better not use too many spreadsheets.
unfortunately this theme is not quite compatible with distributions other than Elementary OS, not even Ubuntu although it is based on it! Two more prominent incompatibilities: 1) Images for windows control buttons do not include the Minimize button apparently because they have decided not to use it in Elementary OS as can be seen in the screenshots. It usually appears in Ubuntu but it's not consistent with the other buttons especially when you hover or press on it. 2) The size of available images are apparently 16x18 (at least as seen in GIMP or Inkscape) and this results in having the right border cut off (unlike in Elementary OS) which doesn't look nice at all.
For me under gnome 3.4 on ArchLinux this theme fit´s well, but the minimize button in the window title is not to be seen. second, when you click on file in programms like gimp the background color is grey and not blue such as, for example in gedit. i hope you know what i mean, sorry bad english.
hi Paradroid, I think, these buttons for minimize and maximize are not displayed in the shots, because the author deactivated it via extended settings in Gnome-Shell. There is an option, to deactivate these buttons. So this is nothing strange. But I can understand your request. I would also like the border of the gtk-theme to be in a lightblue color instead of gray. This would suit the theme a little bit better then. Greetings Karmicbastler
I used this theme in Luna OS, everything seems elegant but Nautilus. It looks ugly with sidebar and even toolbar. In this way, theme Gtk3 ElementaryM v0.1 is better:http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ElementAryM?content=150260 Wish the author try to edit to make Nautilus look nicer.
I love this theme so much but it just doesn't work well with Unity 12.04. Nautilus looks horrible and using Marlin is no good because it crashes constantly. The top panel bar is also a rather unpleasant flat looking silver color. I wish Luna would come out soon so I could just switch to that, but I think I'll be dead before it gets released.
This theme is almost nice but Nautilus. Maybe this theme is used for Luna OS without Nautilus (Marlin replaced). I wonder if we can change the code to suit with Nautilus in look. And I also want to change the code to make the Wingpanel (toppanel) change color/transparent (like Mac panel)...Please help me. Thx so much.
Its one of the best themes out there, but the lack of compatibility with gnome 3 and unity just kill this great theme...
Do you have any major problems with this theme in those DE's then?
i believe nautilus, totem, gnome-panel... are parts of GNOME 3... and they just dont fit with this theme. Unity also has NO support... Daniel (aka DanRabbit) just made clear that he will not support anything besides the elementary project. I don't blame him, since he does most of the things alone...
Voted good for this professional work, although too bright for my taste.
