Go to Xfce settings manager, Window manager tweaks, then enable compositing manager (or something like that). There yo u will find a bunch of settings like inactive windows, title bars, etc.

..this uses the xfce compositing features in gnome. ..haven't tried it yet though.

Metacity theme is: "E17-Pure_MCity" ..sorry for the very late reply.
This theme is very close to my favorite of all time for my Xfce or Gnome desktops :D Thanks bro!
Which font is that in the screenie? It's a very nice fit with the theme.

Xfce? I think, on the screenshot is a gnome desktop and I use gnome too.
I use "transset" for windows transparency
