Description:
An Openbox theme created with OBTheme to match the Nodoka Midnight GTK theme (a dark GTK theme with blue accents). Some features include:

* All coloring of the theme specifically done to fit the Nodoka Midnight GTK theme.
* Window titlebars have distinct color differences for active and inactive, yet they match the Nodoka Midnight color scheme.
* Menu separators are close if not exact to the menu separators used in the Nodoka Midnight GTK theme.
* Blue color used to highlight menu items in Nodoka Midnight GTK also used for menu highlight in OBNodokaMidnight. The gradient used is very similar- if anyone has some better gradient values ill incorporate them and reupload the theme.
* Text shadows similar to Nodoka Midnight GTK. I cannot figure out how to get OB to do different font shadows for highlighted and not highlighted, otherwise it would be exact. Barely noticeable, and again let me know if you know a way to accomplish absolute parity with Nodoka Midnight GTK in this regard.
* Blue highlights when hovering over titlebar buttons, and depressing a button leaves a blue frame around the button while going ParentRelative everywhere else. This applies to both active and inactive windows, though you can easily change this behavior.

I want to give credit to the PepperMono theme which is where I originally started making this theme. After I found OBTheme, the themerc was drastically changed both in format and function. If anyone feels their rights have been infringed upon or that they deserve recognition, please let me know and I will either modify the themerc or I will remove this theme from box-look.org.

This is my first Openbox theme, so bear with any kinks you find and let me know!

To install this theme, simply use ObConf to install the .obt theme archive. Alternatively, you can use Xarchiver on the .obt to get a resulting tar, then unpack the tar to get the OBNodokaMidnight folder. Simply place that in ~/.themes and the theme is installed.
Last changelog:

*4 hours post-release* I noticed I had slightly different shades of gray for active titlebars vs. menu titles. Fixed.

Cool- glad you like it. What icon theme is that (file manager)?

Looking again at your screenshot, I notice your titlebar is darker then the softest gradient of the Nodoka Midnight bar directly beneath it (File, Edit, etc). Did you change this color value out of preference? Ive been trying to decide whether to do it the way your screenshot is or keep it more blended as I have it now...

pibarnas

Nope, I didn't change anything. I thought it's the way it should be. You mean it might be lighter?

Maybe a gtk2-engine issue?

GSF1200S

Have you tried the latest version? It might be the first I uploaded was as yours is (as I had it prior to the current version), but I dont think so. I suppose it could be a gtk-engine issue where certain nodoka midnight's are colored different- it still works and looks good/fits in both cases. For my research, what distro are you running? Im on Arch running nodoka from the AUR, so perhaps there has been a change?

pibarnas

Fedora 15 gtk-nodoka-engine-0.7.5-2.fc15

I've now changed some things in gtkrc of nodoka-midnight and it now looks like similar to yours. I think there might be a slightly difference between the arch's engine and fedora one. maybe.

Strange- im running 0.7.5 and the pkgbuild has a fedora URL explicitly listed http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gt/gtk-engine-nodoka/PKGBUILD I might try the git version to see if there is any difference. Ill also try my Xubuntu install and see if there is any difference. Ill need to find what is most common and design for that, or host another one for a different theme aim. It does work well both ways though- both ways match nodoka's theme, and so we dont have issues there. If anyone else can chime in with there distro and let me know what it looks like for them (preferably with a screenshot and the gtk-engine-nodoka version, that would be great..

http://imageshack.us/f/546/screenshot0921201105505.png/ That is on Xubuntu 11.04 with gtk-engine-nodoka 0.7.2. Exactly the same as 7.5 AND the git version on Arch. Perhaps only fedora does a twist to their theme? The Arch PKGBUILD grabs straight from Fedora though, so.. Strange.. Thanks for all your feedback by the way. Id like to make this is perfect as possible :)

It resembles still-darkII, one of the best ones! Very good! Keep up your good work!

Thanks :) Let me know if you find any glitches..
