Yup, I thought so too. It's *just* too much to look at.
I designed it in the GIMP v2, to see how well KDE would stretch a PNG. It worked out wonderfully.

How about something else now to go with the overstimulating visual pain my eyes are going through...oh let's say something like a paper cut or anal probe with a volkswagon?

It's a great wallpaper. Ever since I started using it my coworkers have stopped reading over my shoulder!
