In response to all the emails and whatnot Ive gone ahead and made versions of this wallpaper for the following: Slackware Suse Redhat Mandrake Debian FreeBSD Gentoo Ive also made a version of each with the Gnome logo instead of KDE. Ill upload them all once I find 15mb of FTP space. Anybody got any room? :)

great work, does your slackware version have the pipe-smoking penguin?

loply

Hmm no, its an S inside a blue/purplish circle. Its the only one I could find using google image search. The redhat one is the white/red guys head in a circle, gentoo one is the badge thing, the mandrake one is the hat/wand etc etc. I made sure to cut them all out perfectly so there are no jaggie edges or the like, they all look good.

I have access to a FTP server where it is enought space. The problem is that this server is only accessable with ftp from inside my local network. There's an evil firewall between the server and the Internet. But if you can't find any other server.. I think you can.. but if... let me know... /Björn

I signed up for a geocities account for temporary storage but the damn FTP server wont let me in (I suspect its overloaded). Irrotating.

netbear, you beat me to it! I was going to make a slackware version. That saves me some time. Thanks guys!

Ill sign up for a geocities account, remake the badge/glass layers, and see if I can upload versions for all distributions and for BSD too, then repost or update with a huge set of links to all the different types. I would have done this originally but a) Cant upload more than 4 files b) Couldnt be bothered to sign up for free hosting! Might save some poor souls from the big effort of inserting a logo without proper layering!

loply

Im glad to see it :) Sorry about the lack of layering on the Debian/Tux/KDE logos in the PSD I sent to people. Unfortunately I merged the glass/badge layer into the logos before saving it which makes it a bit harder to edit =/

netbear

It was a bit tricky to get it look good but it's not imposible... I can send you the xcf file if you like... it's layered so it's easy to change the slackware logo... and or the others if you make a copy of the layers... /Björn
