Why Mark Shuttleworth would want something like that as the default wallpaper is beyound me, it's almost like he doesn't want new users to use ubuntu do to its extreme uglyness
There are people who like this (actually not me) but maybe he wanted this to make it tsandard because its clear and so better for dekstop and desktop icons (but who wants icons on his desktop?).
Well the ubuntu studio 8.10 wallpaper is still great:D
