Description: This is just the plain black Vista background with the windows logo replaced by Ubuntu's.
I did not create the used Ubuntu logo or the windows background.
UPDATE: Hmm i noticed some *anonymous* person complaining about the wallpaper being like vista. You may not have realized this but it's not like I'm making you download it. If you don't like it don't look at it. I know that might be a difficult concept but please do your best. (that goes for EVERYBODY)
I like it so much I'm downloading it.
And when I'm done downloading it, I'm going to send it to all my friends and ask them to use it as well.
And I'll ask them to send it to their friends so they'll use it too.
Why? Because people who post "novellas", using all caps, about something as trivial and silly as a desktop-wallpaper just piss me off.
I REALLY don't understand why people try to "clone" (even partially), themes from oser OSes (Microsoft stuff, MacOs, ...). There was a time Linux was reserved to the professionnal domain only. But now, things have changed. With some distros like Ubuntu, Mandriva, SuSE, the penguin universe open its doors to geeks like most of us are here (errr... aren't we ? ^^), or peolpe that don't want to follow the group and become what in french is called a "bête mouton". So all these word to say nowadays, having Linux installed on its machine shoud be a proof of difference, of originality, and maybe, let's say intelligence. Yeah I know poor designers or newbies artists wanna practice pressing the big-square-automatic-copy-and-paste button. Come on... everybody can do better like this ! Why install linux if it is to clone XP/Vista/MacOS's GUI ? Why have the open source community worked so hard to find ideas of some great and uncommon style if you break this by just changing the theme and pressing "OK" ? Keep it in your mind, especially for those who plan to post something here... there could have damage.
Personally I agree with your comment and thoughts, indeed I think that we should make our best to create new stuff and share.
However, despite the creations should be new why not take advantages from old good ideas, managing and making them suitable and better, even if they are not natively linux?
This is not related at this particular case but I meant in general...c'mon let's use our creativity to make something new!
hmmmm, well the vista interface does look cool, i can't lie. People who clone these interfaces want to get the awesomeness of linux and keep their favorite gui. They are just developing an open source version of a proprietary theme, isnt that what all this is about in the end? open sourcing the world?

Was looking through some of the old submissions and ran across this. Well done graphic. Still laughing about the first rant :)
