Description: Here's my first uploaded wallpaper, and yes, it is shamelessly ripped from Takatalvi's "swirls" http://www.gnome-look.org/?xcontentmode=172 I actually was inspired by it and just wanted to see if i could make anything close to as amazing as that, and also I liked orange/red more than purple/blue. Any tips or criticism is much appreciated!Last changelog:

Oh Wow, so sorry for the (rediculously) late reply. Graduation and everything has kept me away from gimp for far too long. Anyways, if you're still interested, start off with a new layer and use gimp's "SuperNova" filter (under lighting effects) a few times. Then use "iWarp" on that layer and move things about. The swirlcw and swirlccw is really the main tool, but use the grow to increase the intensity of the "flame." Thank for the interest :P
thanks for commenting! Yeah I finally found that font (it's weird it doesn't come packaged with ubuntu!) I just tried to replicate your effect, and this is how it turned out
Cool wallpaper!!! Those effects applied on red hues achieve nice fire like results, but maybe it would be better with other ubuntu logo in transparent letters.
