Just think how different life would be if other industries took this position. For example:
Cars-don't use four wheels because that is too much like the Ford Model T.
PC's-don't use a mouse because it reminds me of a mac's apple.
Come on people. This artist probably chose these colors because he/she likes them. If it reminds you of WinXP then your mind must be in the gutter:)
I think Your wallpaper is a little too XP like, these four guys colours (representing Linux users) are too XP, could You make them more Crystalized ;-)? And change their colours a little, current colours remind me WinXP logo ;-).

Too XP-like? The colors are easy on the eyes. I doubt if the artist had XP solely in mind when creating this image. More "crystalized"? I love the crystal icon theme; why in hell does every kde decoration have to be in the same vein as the Crystal icons?

I would like to clarify that I did not make to wallpaper thinking about concepts of colors of the Ms-xp and yes with the colors that all the desktop maneger's use currently, that is a trend, almost all themes I use this type of color, that had been really created by company MS. I'm go to continue making what I make following the trends of used colors in desktops. I can change the colors but it will not be the same thing. I thank the critical ones and the compliments and please use this to wallpaper because it was made with much affection.
