As a lover of simple, elegant wallpapers, I have to say that this is the nicest wallpaper I've ever seen. I can't imagine ever using another wallpaper for Virtual Desktop 1.
Well It may not have won a competition but I think it looks quite nice and professional, especially for business environments. Keep it up - the KDE team should dump old wallpaper junk and use more contributions like this.
Thanks, it was indeed intended for business / corporate use. Don't tell anyone but I received word that some of the entries for the SVG contest will be included as PNGs in the new KDE version.

This stayed on my desktop longer than any other wallpaper. Looks great with Plastik theme
