How about using Kabel.ttf from http://www.artfiles.org/kde.org/stuff/clipart/ for the “KDE 4.0” text? Then it’d be even cooler.
If you’d allow another suggestion, I’d repeat the whitish highlight in the top left corner of the background on the bottom right too, for symmetry.
ok, I did a bit of research, and the stargate does actually have 9 chevrons, its just that the last two are hardly every used, so hardly ever shown, or shown to be inactive, ect. :)
I based the svg of it on a screenshot from a stargate dialing computer game thingy, it was the only really good picture of the dialing computer I could find :P

yes... the 8th was/is used dialing to atlantis for example.... the purpose of the9th has yet to be revelead ;)

I think the original stargate has only 7 chevrons, hasn't it? Yours has 9, event though only 7 are active ;)
