Preety awesome theme, and I propose to add it to the Xubuntu default installation. It's xfce-blue colour (new colour?). And a horribly stupid question: what's that icon theme?
Oh thanks.. It would be wonderful if my theme will become the default theme :) (for icons: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=73439)
I'm on a CRT monitor at home (you know, one of the bulky ones, not the flatscreen variety), and at least on that anyways, I think the titlebar text on the active window should be white instead of black. However, I have a flatscreen monitor at work, so it's entirely possible that black text really looks better on that, so I'll check this again at work and weigh in on that when I get there in about an hour from now as I'm typing this.
OK, I'm at work right now, and yes, on a flat-screen monitor, the black text does look like it would contrast better with the light blue. To simplify things, you might want to make two versions of this theme -- one with black text for LCD monitors and one with white text for the older-style CRT monitors (like mine). But then again, anyone who's fiddled with GTK themes before will likely know what to do to tweak it to their own personal tastes. Oh, and I voted good, BTW.
Thanks for the vote but.. it's not so shrewd to make a theme version for each particular.. Then, if you want the titlebar with white text, edit de gtkrc file and in the metacity-frame section update fg[SELECTED] = "#111111" in fg[SELECTED] = "#ffffff"
However this in not the final version!! :)
....of the other two colors please.
Follow the links and then you will be able to look their screenshots!
what metacity theme are you using in the screenshot?
I use xfce4 for DE and then that is not metacity.. Sorry!
For GNOME users, like myself, there's a Metacity theme that looks a lot like the "Wallis" xfwm titlebar theme he's using. It's called "Unity" and can be found at http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Unity?content=59694 The download link contains four (or is it six?) variations on that theme, half of which have red "X" buttons. Hope this helps! :-) Fred in St. Louis, MO USA
