Figured out the problem myself. Had to add the following line in the style "panel" section of the panel.rc file:
fg[ACTIVE] = "#E6E6E6"
Worked like a charm. Hopefully this will help someone else using this theme.
Forgot to add that these are nearly perfect except that when the windows are maximized by Maximus the text on the panel is black and very hard to read. Not sure what to do to fix this and I can live with it, but if there were anything I could change about these themes that would be it.
Really enjoy these themes and thanks a million for altering them for us UNR users. You should really talk to perfectska04 about adding these to the GNOME-colors PPA along with the regular Shiki themes so us Netbook Remix users can install these from Synaptic and keep them up to date. Just a thought.
