BSM Suite
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
This is the fusion between Soft BSM and Flat BSM. Support GNOME, XFCE and LXDE desktop environment.
It's a clear theme to make your desktop look better in a easy way.
One package, six gtk, two metacity, one xfwm, eight colors by default. Keep it simple!
Gtk:
-BSM
-BSM Dark
-BSM Compact
-BSM Compact Dark
-BSM Flat (under development)
-BSM Flat Dark (under development)
Metacity:
-BSM
-BSM Classic
Xfwm
-BSM
Colors: (avaliable to all GTKs)
-Blue
-Green
-Yellow
-Orange
-Red
-Pink
-Purple
-Silver
If you don't like the default colors, you can make your own color and change it, because this theme is totaly colorable!
It's based on clearlooks engine, so may works fine in all programs. I recommend nuoveXT.2.2 or Tango as icon theme.
All suggestions're welcome, please leave your vote and a comment.
Enjoy.
P.S.: If you have an older version of BSM Suite, make sure you deleted it BEFORE install the new package.

Beautiful Theme-thanks!!!
hello man.. I haven't still tried your theme but I've already vote you up!! I'm sure I'm gonna like it, even if I love much more dark theme.. So I would ask you if you plan to make a dark version of BSM.. for me it would be a success!! bye bye man and go on with your work!
I always find it hard to find a small, light coloured theme (especially for KDE4, but that's another story). I use this theme because I have a small laptop screen so I rather keep room for my applications rather than tool bars. I change the cursor to Chameleon Pearl and the icons to Tangerine. I love the little bits of colour and the simplistic look. It can match any wallpaper! Thanks for putting so much time in to this. I never change my theme because I've grown to love this one so much.
Hi. I loved you comment, thanks a lot. I feel realize when I read posts like these. And I have good news for you: the version 0.8 is almost finished. It will have all the old styles/colors, a new COMPACT style and a dark version of panels to all styles and colors. I'm using compact style right now, and it look very nice on small screens (like netbooks). The final package 0.8 will include about 48 default themes. (and some fixes to xfwm4) I'm testing everything this weekend, and probably will upgrade the package next week.
Oh, great! I'm looking forward to it!
Hi, first off I want to say thanks on a great theme. I've tried several dozen over the past six months and BSM Blue is my favorite so far. Also thanks for including an XFWM theme, There is a problem with the XFWM theme though. There are extra .png files in the theme folder. Looks like they are from another theme. Delete them as it works as expected.
Thanks. I'll fix it soon, when I include a new style: BSM Compact.
After having gone through many of the top-rated themes here on Gnome-Look, I like this one the best. And the fact that it comes in different colors makes it even more awesome.
fixed now, thank you :)
mmm, seems that the problem persist also with the new version :( No problem anyway, i love this theme :)
I test 0.6 version with live CD of Ubuntu 9.04 and Firefox 3.0.10. It should finnaly fixed now.
Thank you! The line problem is fixed on my 9.04/3.0.10 system. It's so refreshing to find a theme that is subtle without being boring.
It would be great if you would package the old Soft BSM metacity along with the new Flat BSM metacity. Also, thanks a lot for sharing this with us--its very clean and professional looking.
Hi. I include the old Soft BSM Metacity, renamed as BSM Classic. Thanks for the comment. It's a pleasure make themes that make people happy. Please, vote it as good.
This is a really pleasing, clean and simple theme. It's very nice. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but having a hard time seeing what is supposed to be different between BSM and Flat BSM...
Actually, just one small problem, and it's a weird one. If I use any of the BSM themes I seem to have a diagonal sort of hand-drawn looking line that very faintly goes from the bottom left to upper right corner in the firefox URL bar and search box. I can post a screenshot if necessary. The line is not visible when using any other theme. It's also not really that big a deal, but it does mar an otherwise perfect look...
I never had a problem like this with my theme, but already see this on other themes. I use Icedove 3.0.6. Is better if you post a screenshot, but is really hard fix a bug when it's not appear here. I'll try fix it.
Thanks! I have sent you a private message with a link to a screenshot.
First I need to find a distro and a version of Firefox with the same problem. Then I can try fix it. What's your distro and firefox's version? Do you install a engine by yourself (Murrine SVN, for example) Thanks for reporting (sorry by my english)
same problem here with firefox 3.0.10 under Ubuntu 9.04. A diagonal stripe in google search bar and in the awsome bar
OK. I'm downloading Ubuntu 9.04, and it will ends only at 8:30 PM. So, I think that tomorrow the bug should be fixed.
This is what I'm using as well. Thanks for looking into this!
Problem solved (I hope). Please install the new package and tell me if it's fixed or not.
Simple, clean and original. Voted up.
can you modify the taskbar so we can use transparency or background images on it. As of right now it doesn't work properly.
