When I install the kore 55747 theme, it says tango icon set is not available... Plz tell me what to do and frm where 2 dwnld???
I'm trying to remove the border on tray icons. I've tried what has worked with me on some themes: commenting out bg_pixmap[normal], but that doesn't seem to do the trick. I'm on KDE and don't know that much about gtk themes so if anybody here can help me out I'd be grateful.
Disregard, I redownloaded it and started over and now I have it working properly. I guess I probably got a little carried away with the editing my first go around.
mmm... There's Something Wrong With the kore-black.tar.gz, this is What I Get When I Try to Extract the Files. "gzip: stdin: not in gzip format tar: Child returned status 1 tar: Salida con error demorada desde errores anteriores" Anyway, the Theme Looks Awesome (in the Screenshots xD)
I love it, works nicely on openSUSE 10.3. I'm just wondering if I can stop it from changing firefox, now all the dialog boxes and buttons are grey, like the system theme. How can I get firefox back to default?
Did you, at any stage, make this theme with Orange buttons (instead of blue)? I would like such a theme to go with my Openbox desktop. Kind regards
It's a great theme, but it changes the background color of some websites viewed in Firefox to dark-grey, which makes them pretty unreadable (see screenshot). Is there a way to avoid this? http://img218.imageshack.us/my.php?image=korefirefoxjp6.jpg
Please, continue with this!
This is only the second dark theme I've tried that has no serious problems that can't be fixed. And unlike the first, this one isn't an eyesore. I do think it could be better, however, so I'll be spending time playing with it. The one obvious flaw, imo, is the lack of any indicators for inactive tabs. Since this is probably in the original design for KDE, however, I guess that I can't fault you for it. Thanks!!!
Hi i was thinkin about, how bout a porting of the icewm theme from kde-look named icenine, to gnome??? Kind Reagards MikeDK
I love your theme... but I would really want to have it like yours on the first Pic.. Maybe you can post how you got your top panel like that (Mac style Panel)..

Very nice theme. However, theres still some points it can be polished: - GTK Text Entry (more smooth) - Bottom window handlers and statusbar - Background alignment of hovered menu itens - Metacity theme I look forward for fixing those ones, this theme has a lot of potential!
Kimik your theme is really cool but when I run an app from console, say 'nautilus' i get this in console: divine@divine:~$ gnome-session-properties /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:212: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Arrows/arrow-up.png" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:216: Overlay image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:248: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Toolbar/toolbar.png" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:251: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:899: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/slider-vert-insens.png" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:907: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:919: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-up.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:923: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:929: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-up-prelight.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:933: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:939: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-up-prelight.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:943: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:949: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-up-insens.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:953: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:963: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-down.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:967: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:973: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-down-prelight.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:977: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:983: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-down-prelight.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:987: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:993: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-down-insens.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:997: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1006: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-right.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1010: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1016: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-right-prelight.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1020: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1026: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-right-prelight.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1030: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1036: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-right-insens.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1040: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1050: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-left.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1054: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1060: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-left-prelight.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1064: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1070: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-left-prelight.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1074: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1080: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Scrollbars/stepper-left-insens.pngxxx" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1084: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1297: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Buttons/button_gray.png" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1300: Background image options specified without filename /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1600: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "Buttons/button-normal.png" /home/divine/.themes/kore/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:1604: Background image options specified without filename
Jep, this happens because I don`t want the "missing" files to appear. I changed the file paths in the gtkrc file because I don`t want to delete them. But it does not cause any problems.
And also why doesn't my window border like your screenshot? isn't that a part ok kore theme? if not than what is it's name ??
it wont chabge..have reduced everything i could..even the size of the icons...reloaded..rebooted...dammmmmm..this is driving me crazy :P
yes have done that many times...
gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=16,16:panel=16,16:gtk-button=16,16:gtk-large-toolbar=16,16" still not doing nothing...damm
You need to do all these changes when you are in your .themes/... folder. When you saved the gtkrc file you need to reload the theme to see the changes.
yes have edit the gtkrc...reduced all that include thickness..and still dont reduce less than 20....kimmik can you give an help on this file?
Reduce the icon size in the toolbar. Quote:gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=24,24:panel=24,24:gtk-button=16,16:gtk-large-toolbar=24,24"
kimmick im doing a work on your theme..but i need some help...it needs ome changes...can i email you the theme and help on this them?
If you want to make things smaller edit the gtkrc file. Change the x- and y-thickness.
well just 2 more things...the gnome bars are too big...i cannot shrink them more them 20 pixels...and the blue on the menus and all the stuff are still remaning...please man make this one a little better
