Monochromatic-black
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
Description:
Black is the seventh piece in my monochromatic series.
This GTK2 theme features 3 different engines to choose from in the gtkrc file.
Possible engines are Ubuntulooks, Clearlooks and Murrine (of course, you must install them if not already installed)
To install the theme, unpack it in your /home/user/.theme/ directory or in your /usr/share/theme/ directory as root. As usual.
Now, to change the engine, edit the gtkrc file in the theme's directory and uncomment the relevent lines (while commenting the one you don't need)
I've provided information on how to do this in the gtkrc file itself. You should be sorted !
I've also included the wallpaper as on the screenshots in case you ask for it.
Now, enjoy !
By the way, default engine is Clearlooks (I love this engine !)
Also features menubar and panel art for sizes from 24 to 96 px ! Last changelog:

This is definitely a great theme, but I would suggest making the colors customizable or change the window background to something easier on the eyes :)
Great theme, best of the dark ones, thanks!
This would have to be my favorite black theme on Gnome-look. Well done
Love the tabs looks really nice and rounded MikeDK
Thanks Mike !
Love dark themes, and sure not gonna miss this one :-P cheers keep it up. Kind Regards MikeDK
It's really great, but sadly i had to take off the transparency on my tool bar, the theme don't accept this and become ugly, i don't know why, but that's all, the rest is great. Good job, and keep this way to the perfection. ;) Thanks.
Well, it's about the way the gtk widgets & classes have to be handled. Unfortunately, if you choose to have some pixart to polish the panels' look, you'll end up having panels/widgets issues like the one you describe. The only solution (as far as I know) would be to remove the relevant lines in the gtkrc file. In our case, that would be 2 lines referring to the panel style.
Oh man, it works, and sounds greater, what did i do? Some coments: ----- style "panel" { xthickness = 2 ythickness = 1 # bg_pixmap[NORMAL] = "panel-bg.png" bg[NORMAL] = "#101010" } style "menubar" { xthickness = 2 ythickness = 1 # bg_pixmap[NORMAL] = "menubar.png" } ----- Now all the transparency that i wanted. Thanks a lot!
Slight recommendation is to offer all the themes from the same theme page that way your downloads will be higher and everyone can find them all from one page.
It seems rather sensible ! Mind you, I had never thought of it !
