This is a wonderful theme and I am enjoying it very much, I just wonder if it would be possible to make a compact version of the theme for those of us on netbooks? Thank you for your hard work! PS: This is via bugmenot, so PMs won't work.

Hello, what a beautiful theme you've made! Congratulations & Thanks! I've made up a detailed how-to as part of my Ubuntu-series on my blog, hope someone finds it useful! See it here: http://lajosd.blogspot.com/2010/03/ubuntu-post-installation-tasks.html

lajosd

I've moved the detailed howto to a separate article at http://lajosd.blogspot.com/2010/03/make-ubuntu-look-like-osx.html Cheers! Lajos

why you don't make the selection box / checkbox / and more UI Control like MacOS ? i only see the scrollbar. :|

I love the dark theme, the only problem I am having is when I rename files, the font is white and the background is light grey. Just a small issue but would be awesome to fix Thanks for the great themes!

Dadsge

could you make the scroll bar's compatible with the human-controls? because i think they look better then the ones in the package :) greetz

brunomarquesbr

Ok. I'll try. Thanks for suggestion.

Dadsge

no, thanks to you for this wonderful package ^^

Hi! I am using this theme currently and I love it. I am using my own transparent image as my panel image though, and I prefer darker desktop backgrounds. I'm a noob to theme editing, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to change the panel text color from black to white. Thanks!

brunomarquesbr

Hi! Thanks for the comment. Did you try use the Aurora Leopard BSM Dark? The dark version's font's white. But, if you wanna use the gray version, try do this: 1. Open GTKRC file (~/.themes/Aurora Leopard BSM/gtk-2.0/gtkrc) 2. Go to line 406.(ythickness = 3) Create a new line after that. 3. Paste this: fg[NORMAL] = "#ffffff" fg[ACTIVE] = "#fffff" fg[PRELIGHT] = "#fffff" fg[SELECTED] = "#fffff" fg[INSENSITIVE] = "#ffffff" The "#ffffff" equals white. You can change this for other color, like gray (#ededed) red (#ff0000) or pink (#ff00ff). Use the RGB hex code. 4. Save file and exit. Maybe a logout and login will be necessary. PS.: The GNOME BAR (Application, Places, System) is a button, and the font will have the color of button's fonts, not the color of panel's fonts. I can't fix it yet. You can use the Menu Applet, it show only a icon.

Thanks! Worked on window list and the clock. I'll figure out how to get the global-menu to match eventually. For anyone who references this comment thread later and doesn't understand hex, make sure you use six F's for all the aforementioned fields. Thanks again!

I have been trying out the dark theme version... and it's a pleasure, all good. Cheers :)

Hi there. I love your theme, great work! But is too bright for me. I made some changes to fit my own liking but I run into a problem: http://img134.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pantallazorlrd8.png How to change the color of that text? I made a lot of test-error but couldn't find anything in the gtkrc file.

brunomarquesbr

Hey, take a look in the package now (0.3 version). I include a Dark theme. I hope that you like. I'll appreciate if you send me your opinion. Enjoy!!!

thuban

I've done an openbox theme. If you want to add a link to this one : http://www.box-look.org/content/show.php?content=96082 hope you'll like it!

brunomarquesbr

I don't use OpenBox, and I recomend something when I sure that it's great. Sorry, the screenshot's great, but I didn't test the theme, so I don't will link it yet.

mrmorrison

*under the panel..

mrmorrison

sorry, as you put the black border under the cover?

brunomarquesbr

The black border under the panel appear when you use emerald theme with compiz-fusion(like screenshots 1 and 2). If you use only compiz-fusion, without emerald decoration, the borders will be normal, not like the screenshots. The screenshot 3 is without any 3d desktop, using only gtk 2.0 and metacity.

mrmorrison

thank you!!! great!!

Johnboat

I'm a linux n00b. Howdo you use this theme? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks

brunomarquesbr

I supose that you use GNOME and have already installed Aurora Engine. 1-Download TAR.GZ file. DON'T extract it!! 2-Open Appearance control in menu System->Preferences->Appearance 3-Click on "Install" button 4-Browse to folder where's the TAR.GZ file. 5-Select the TAR.GZ file and click in "Open" button. 6-Now the theme are installed. Make sure that you have Aurora Engine installed. Enjoy!
