New Murrine Configurator
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
This is absolutely the first Configurator for a Gtk Engine.
New Murrine Configurator give users the opportunity to configure all the Murrine Engine style options, like glaze style, roundness, menu bar and items styles, and many other aspects to reach our desired effects.
The usage is very simple and the dialogs explain step by step the style options you can edit.
Now you can see also a preview of your selections!

Hey, great tool, but i am on Arch Linux with Python3...any chance of an updated version?
No download - spam link
?
Does this work with Murrine 0.60.1?
grande il murrina è davvero veloce!! rispetto a prima sembra di volare!!
Is there a way to run this for themes in /usr/themes/ or wherever the root themes are?
No way for now, but i include this features in the next release ;-)
You can manually change theme source directory. Open newmurrineconfigurator.py in text editor and modify the following 2 lines so they look like this. Change dir to whereever themes are stored. Line 77 dir = os.chdir("/usr/share/themes") Line 156 self.engine.setrc("/usr/share/themes/" + self.optionSelected + "/gtk-2.0/gtkrc", self.optionSelected)
Is it possible to do diffrent buttons on a gnome-panel than in windows? I'm trying to recreate a Vista look and windows buttons shout be gray (light blue when active) and panel buttons black (dark blue when active) with white text.
this seems to have messed up my murrine themes. all of them now have the hard-edge 3d thing (kinda like when you use an administrative app)
That probably means you're not using the latest murrine engine, and should compile or download the package for your distro.
Install the latest version of Murrine engine. If the problem is still present contact me, please.
The preview is incredibly handy- manually modifying the gtkrc and looking for the change is impossible. Good job.
Maybe I know why Save button is showing as "Salva"?
Sei un figo della madonna ;)
Loving the new features!!
I think that the work is awesome, these guys are doing an awesome work and we have only to be patient, they will do everything, they just need time. clarkkent
murrine could really get the jump on all the other gtk2 theme engines if this could include colour configuration also with previews.
In my opinion, this is basically the same as the "original" murrine configurator... Would be very nice to have a preview of the style with the actual chosen options. Do you think that would be possible?
Certain, i'm working for this feature. Thank you for suggests.
Here you can see Murrina with my lines_draw patch at work with Ealm theme: http://theleashedhare.blogspot.com/2007/03/mondo-di-filetti.html
