the theme match for GTK3 apps? this is a great theme and I like this, but the future of many projects is migrating to GTK3, and is sad if this theme not match GTK3 in future..... I like if Nimbus Match same look for GTK2 and GTK3 apps
Unfortunately, no one knows. The authors are silent. I've found the trunk repository, but there is no sign of GTK3 port.
I guess we'll have to wait until Oracle will switch Solaris to Gnome 3. And that might take a long time yet.
or, making they own port to gtk3 using the default engine or unico engine or solidify engine the look of the theme is done (colors and degradees) and the windows decorations for metacity and xfwm are done but I hope if any theme-maker want make these port I hope that one want
Nimbus is my favorite theme. Thank you very much.
Thanks!
Where are the packages for Ubuntu Lucid?
The Lucid repository is not deleted, I just have no room for more download links. You can find the lucid packages here: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/philip_petev/xUbuntu_10.04/all/nimbus-icon-theme_0.1.7-2_all.deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/philip_petev/xUbuntu_10.04/i386/gtk2-engines-nimbus_0.1.7-2_i386.deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/philip_petev/xUbuntu_10.04/amd64/gtk2-engines-nimbus_0.1.7-2_amd64.deb
Thanks a lot! have 2 Problem with this Theme: - if i try to use nimbus with another Icons (Elementary), not all Icons are changed. in Nautilus, Firefox ... a part of the Nimbus-Icons will stay. - if i try to use a theme for Firefox, not all Nimbus-Icons are Changed ... any Idea? Thanks
I think there are items, hardcoded in the engine, which cannot be changed ( Nautilus toolbar icons for example), but I'm not 100% sure. Maybe you should take a look at the theme's rc files in their folders, after all these are the standart themes, some kind of examples.

Great job! Is it possible to add nibmus in OpenOffice instead standard Human icons?
...хубаво, че се чудиш к'во да правиш.
Да е хубаво, да е хубаво, колко да е хубаво... ;)
:)
Thank you for making packages for Nimbus - I like this theme on OpenSolaris/OpenIndiana, and it's cool to use it on Linux too. I noticed though, that on my Debian (testing) some icons aren't displayed - for example in System menu - nothing is shown for Preferences, Administration etc. (inside them icons are OK though). Also, in Firefox in bookmarks - no folder icons are shown inside bookmarks toolbar (they are on the top level, but not deeper inside).
To have icons in System, Preferences and Administration menu, run gconf-editor and change these two keys to "true": /desktop/gnome/interface/buttons_have_icons /desktop/gnome/interface/menus_have_icons These icons are disabled by default since Gnome 2.28 and this is the way to take them back. As for Firefox, I can't tell you what to do.
Thanks for the tip! Setting /desktop/gnome/interface/menus_have_icons to true fixed the issue for Firefox too!
hi dear, I just installed your package. But I only got the light version of this theme. That's why I wanted to ask, how to get the dark version of this theme or do I have to do something by myself and if so, is there a good instruction how to do it?? I love this theme here in LinuxMint 10. The nimbus-theme with its icons was and is for my believes the best-ever theme which has been released for Ubuntu and ubuntu-based Derivates. Please develop this theme also on for the future. Referring to this idea for an update-center, you could easily take over the existing ppa-Repository here: http://launchpad.net. Because there I found, that the last version was out for Ubuntu Karmic Koala and was not pushed onwards to the future. So I would be really glad, if you would take over this work for the future. Thanks for this outstanding work!!! Please keep this up to date for the future!!! Greetings Karmicbastler
