The icon theme I use is a little bit modified well known elementary-monochrome (by DanRabbit). The mod called absolute-mono can be downloaded here: http://rghost.net/1975508
To use version 0.7 one should install the latest version of murrine engine (corresponding deb-files attached).

0.7.6 - Changed gtk-menu-popup-delay to fix submenus blink in qt4 apps.
0.7.5 - Tuned appearance of menu items a bit. Squared variant of the theme is added.
0.7 - Tuned appearance of some widgets. Changed 'selected' color. Modified metacity as well.
0.6 - Fixed small bugs in metacity theme. Added an alternative metacity theme.
0.5 - Added menu button in metacity. Made a variant of metacity theme centering title text (see screenshot 3).

What do you think about gtk3 port of this theme?
Love this theme, clean and beautiful :-) Do not know if anyone is interested but found no Openbox theme to match it so I made one. Very simple theme, just the same color. Named it: Absolute Openbox http://box-look.org/content/show.php/AbsoluteOpenbox?content=151365 /Andreas Nilsson
how about gtk3 theme?
I would like to make gtk3-variant, but right now I don't have enough time even to figure out how to do it. Sorry.
please make gtk3 theme !
Hi 2dev, greetings for such an amazing work u did with this amazing theme! I love it! My question is, i get a "absolute-themes does not appear to be a valid theme" error message when selecting or draggin and droppin the bz2 file onto the theme panel i right click on the desktop. How am I supposed to install it? I would love to know. Thanks in advance!
Hi OffSet, to install the themes you should extract the bz2-archive and then move all the directories from 'absolute-themes' into your $HOME/.themes/ or /usr/share/themes/ directories.
Hi there, I'm a huge fan of your theme. However, with the 11.04, the new Unity panel looks kind of weird (http://i.imgur.com/P1V9A.png) - the text appears to be bold and slightly blurred (something to do with aliasing? it's more visible on my monitor than the screenshot). Is it possible you could modify the theme (to use the same text style that was used in gnome-panel in 10.10), or at least direct me in the right direction to do it myself? always appreciated, Arno
Hi Arno, Thanks a lot for the comment. Unfortunately, right now I can't imagine what the problem is. But I confirm that fonts in Unity panel looks terrible. And not only with absolute theme - all the other light themes looks awful with Unity panel (Unity panel does not respect user defined font hinting settings - don't know why). But absolute looks differently, yes. I will try to figure out why. Thanks again.
Hi, I've been using absolute for long long time, since it's just the best. I wonder, are you planning to make a GTK3 version?
Yes, I plan to make a GTK3 version. But it will take time.
Sorry 4 my english :) Sir, thx 4 u great artwork, i love this theme very much :) But, i have problem, i'm using opensuse. The problem is when i using this theme, the suse-menu logo not show good :( i take screenshot: http://img863.imageshack.us/i/susemenuabsoluteth.jpg/ please help me how to fix? Sorry 4 my english :)
Thanks for your comment. I'll try to figure out where the problem is.
The problem gone when i add code to absolute gtkrc file: GtkWidget::focus-line-width= 0 GtkWidget::focus_padding= 0 here the look that show the suse-menu/slab-menu logo show properly: http://img14.imageshack.us/i/suseslabmenuabsoluteth.jpg/ But :( the other problem come :( after add the code, my nautilus main-toolbar and location-bar going to small size. Before add code: http://img191.imageshack.us/i/suseslabmenuabsolutethb.jpg/ After add code: http://img51.imageshack.us/i/statuslocationbarabsolu.jpg/ now i really have no idea how to fix to make the main-toolbar and location-bar back to default size Sorry 4 my english :)
Ok, thanks. I'll try to look into this when I have time.
In unity when window is maximized this themes icons [maximize, minimize, close] are replaced by some other icons. How can I handle this? :)
I've solved my problem :D Thanks for making such a great theme!
:) And what is the solution?
Since unity has it's icons hard-coded, it uses icons in Ambiance/Radiance directories. If the theme is something other than Ambiance it uses it's standard icons, so a backup of Ambiance and a simple rename of your theme did the trick. There is a bug filed already about those icons, but nobody is assigned to it as for now and it looks like they would use another decorator first rather than make it work for metacity (https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/740232)
Tkank You. My fav theme :) Big + for not using rounded corners!
It's similar to my theme, but this one is more smooth :) like it
