Description: for now only a question, is possible to implement emblems in KDE? I think that is more useful than having 100 folders(for example) having one folder and a lot of customizable emblems for music work etc. etc. Where to start? I don't know, I'm not very able programming qt and kde, but I saw that kde already does it partially, enabling folder reflects content (or something similar) maybe hacking this feature
well I cannot post a screenshot (my DSL modem don't work with my computer because has a bug, so I'm using another machine with windows) but i'll try to explain:
look at the filesystems section, we have a folder icon for html, a folder for documents, a folder for music etc etc, so my idea is to use only one folder and some emblems that yyou could stick on the icon like is done with gnome
When you select folder icons reflect content from the view menu it overlays a text icon on a folder icon for folders with text in for example.
The resultant icon is clearly different from the text folder icon provided in the iconset
For instance, in Nautilus one can assign an emblem to anything. Want a little speaker pic on this folder? No problem. want a different emblem on the desktop item of some app? No problem.
It's a handy feature (yes, believe it or not, it is! certainly more intuitive than MacOS's Labels), and I'm surprised that KDE hasn't done it yet.
I too would like to see this as I see it to be very helpful. The best way to get it implemented is post a wishlist bug on bugs.kde.org. Not sure if they will implement it since it might be too "Gnomish", but it would be nice.

I see... Yes, you're right. Having 100 folder icons is stupid.
Selecting the icon reflects content thing does exactly that
Yes, but for every single variation, a new special folder icon is needed.
