Thanks for this brillant idea, the search bar of firefox is very usefull and missed me with Konqueror. And you added it more stuff (find word...). Thanks.I hope it will be in the next kde version.
I like to use alt+F2 and then type gg "word" to search from google. Much faster when you dont need take hands off from keyboard to move mouse to kicker.
If you want to search in an already active konqy window set up a keyboard shortcut to activate and clear the locationbar (personally I use alt+d).
If you want to search in an active konq hit alt+f2 and type gg: search word.
Voila..

is this still an active project?
Please offer this application as an rpm so it can be easily installed through RedHat Package Managers such as Yast in SuSE Linux. Thanks.
Hi I use Suse 9.1 - KDE 3.2 I installed the tar.gz - but I find no possibility to start the applet. Thx

there is already a search bar in konqueror in cvs (will be in 3.3)
I'm sorry. I confused your app with the new konqueror plugin named ksearchbar. I talked about ksearchbar. But your idea is good too :-p
