Description: To start with this is not my idear... This has been done before.... and so on, but this is just me having a go at it....
What this is, is actualy cheating to give cool effects - this is actualy just a cool wallpaper effect..
What ive done is make a "kicker" in Gimp, with a number of effects. What you do is just to "paste" you'r desired wallpaper into the file and wuala! theres the effect...
Now the posibileties are endless, and it dosn't reqire that much skill, so be free and have fun..
Included in this package is: -Kicker.xcf - This is the Gimp file with the "kicker" and a number of wallpapers -Some wallpaper files
And thats it, the only thing left to be set is remember to set your panel to be 100% reflectiv...
Please give me some response on this, as its pretty much my first post...

yeah, this is possible just using composite and a normal wallpaper that hasn't been gimped
can you give links to the first and third wallpapers? thanks :)
to do this, just create a kicker picture with a darker and a lighter part, and use transparancy... :D
I am not sure what you did yourself from what you borrowed from someone else -- I guess you meant to create new desktop wallpapers not kickers...
