i think the fatter penguin is supposed to represent the computer geek that lives off pizza and chips and does nothing to control their weight; while the skinny penguin is the typical skinny, nerd-type computer geek. :-)
Nah, the fatter one is SuSe, bloated with 8 CD's, and the thinner one is Knoppix with only one ;-)

It´s just me and my friend! We are different users of Linux. A skinny penguin it´s me and a fat penguin is my friend. It´s just a little joke.
